Kirk Edens began his career at Allied Concrete in 1985, just two weeks after graduating from Hampden- Sydney College. In 1993 he was named President of Allied Concrete – Suffolk Block and today is responsible for the company’s Allied Concrete business, which includes gray block east of Charlottesville, Eagle Bay hardscapes and lightweight aggregates; Stalite, Witelite, Pumice and Bottom Ash. He’s recognized as an innovator among co-workers and friends, as he is always collaborating with his team to develop strategies that move Eagle Bay’s business forward in these challenging economic times.
Outside the office, Kirk is a devoted member of his church and fellowship community. He leans on quotes from Ecclesiastes 6:19-20 and 1 Corinthians 4:7 as everyday reminders to never take anyone or anything for granted and to always do the right thing. It’s characteristics such as these that make Kirk a true inspiration to the Eagle Bay team.
He also enjoys quiet evenings with friends and family, good food, yard work, cross fit, the Red Sox, and golf.
Kirk and his wife Mary are about to celebrate their 24th wedding anniversary. The couple lives in Suffolk with their two children, Elizabeth and Taylor.
